What is a Meal Plan?

A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more, at 9 locations across campus. Your Meal Plan includes Meal Swipes and Flex Dollars, conveniently loaded onto your Student ID. No need to carry additional cards or cash!

  • Students living in traditional residence halls or Soltz Hall on lower campus are required to have a meal plan. Choices include the Weekly 19 (A1/A2), Weekly 14 (B1/B2), Weekly 10 (C1/C2), or Block 175 (E1/E2) meal plans.
  • Students living in upper campus apartments, off-campus apartments, or commuting are not required to have a meal plan, and may choose from any available plan.
  • All meal plans are added or changed in the BU Housing Portal, regardless of where a student lives.
    - Students living off-campus must first sign the "Dining Only Agreement" located in the agreements tab before they are able to select their meal plan in the dining tab.
